Like many of you, I learned The Lord’s Prayer (Mt 6:9-13; Lk 11:2-4) as a young child and committed it to memory. I always experienced a sense of unity and peace when reciting it with others at church services, prayer meetings, and various other special assemblies.
“So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.” Romans 10:17 (NKJV)
“Mrs. Reyes!” The dentist said sternly. “Are you in pain?!”
“No,” I answered, with tears streaming down both sides of my face.
“Then please stop moaning!”
Yes, I had been moaning. Incessantly. Since he first began working in my mouth with his drill. I was so overcome by fear over my first root canal that when I was later asked to get up to move to another room, I had to be helped because I almost passed out. Continue reading →
