The Greatness of God

sunrays

I see you in the vast, blue sky,

The sun, the moon, and stars,

The galaxies and Milky Way,

The planets, Earth, and Mars.

I hear you in the praises sung

By dove and mockingbird.

They sit outside my window

As I read through you Word.

I smell you in the air I breathe,

Among the pines and firs

I praise you with uplifted hands,

And tell you I am yours.

I feel your presence in my life.

You’re everywhere, it’s clear.

From all that you have given me

Your love for me’s most dear.

Robbing God

money-in-pocket“Will a man rob God? Yet you have robbed Me! But you say, ‘In what way have we robbed You?’ In tithes and offerings. You are cursed with a curse, for you have robbed Me, even this whole nation. Bring all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be food in My house, and try Me now in this,” says the Lord of hosts, “if I will not open for you the windows of heaven and pour out for you such blessing that there will not be room enough to receive it.” Malachi 3:8-10 (NKJV)

After about a year of tithing faithfully to our local church, I approached my husband with Bible in tow. “Honey, we are robbing God!” I exclaimed. “How can we be robbing God if we have been paying tithes on every paycheck?” he asked, totally confused. Continue reading
