Our children’s friends loved to frequent our home just as much as we loved having them over. As a result, there were plenty of learning opportunities that came up from all the time we spent together. One such opportunity dealt with the integrity of our words. Continue reading

I can remember our bicycle rides
through rich neighborhoods,
pointing at house we’d someday have
or thought we would.
And do you remember the night in the tent
And the stories we told
of whom we would marry
and how we’d grow old?
We were only dreamers unaware
of what our futures would hold.

The rising sun casts a beautiful purplish hue over the entire mountain range each morning. It lasts about five minutes. I caught the majestic view as I turned onto one of the main streets on my way to the store. I was in awe! Continue reading
